Because I am a geek, I work with a lot of techies, and I admire the focus required to be a maker, I am sad that I didn’t know about this until I read a tweet about it 15 minutes ago and sad that I have to wait another year to go to it (next time).

Previously using a pretty light touch with the Chrome cross-promos, lately Google seems to have been listening to some Steppenwolf. Here is the home page I got this morning (in IE8, that is…) – hmm, is there another Google software product they would like me to consider?!

… the cutest child ever, in a fail-whale swimsuit and goggles, on a parquet floor? The answer is no, no there isn’t.

I don’t even wear a watch, and if I did, I’d probably lose it. But let’s say that I was. And I was so incredibly loaded that I would feel comfortable spending ONE POINT FOUR MILLION DOLLARS on some metal and glass that tells me what my Blackberry and the sun already know (el tiempo, natch). Then I might ask myself the following questions:

1) Would I want to complete such a transaction over eBay?

2) If so, would “Free Shipping!” be a good thing, or a bad thing?

…I’m not sure, but I suspect that Floor 3 is feeling a little bit of the American economic downturn recession meltdown…
